💡 Graduate Spotlight: Aisa Cabiles & Elaine Asuncion

We are incredibly proud of our students and their accomplishments. This month, we are shining a spotlight on two of our Medical Office Assistant and Unit Clerk graduates, Aisa Cabiles and Elaine Asuncion.

Aisa Cabiles shares her story:

“I chose to study Medical Office Assistant and Unit Clerk because working in the healthcare sector has always been my passion and joy. I’m glad I selected Global College of Business and Technology, as they provide quality education through their excellent professors and accommodating staff, and they offer flexible learning schedules.

I was able to secure a job at Boundary Trails Health Centre as a Health Information Registration Clerk even before I graduated. The school also embraces diversity and equality, accepting students from a variety of backgrounds, skills, perspectives, and opinions.

Kudos to Dr. Susana Del Socorro, Dr. Nabala Mutjuba, and Miss Sukriti Singh. The skills and wisdom you imparted will remain with us forever. I believe in the saying, “Teachers open the door, but you must enter by yourself,” from a Chinese proverb. These teachers have opened the door for us, so it’s our time to enter through it with our knowledge and perseverance.”

Elaine Asuncion also found a new direction:

“When I started studying Diploma in Medical Office Assistant and Unit Clerk at Global College of Business and Technology, I was looking for a place to learn and grow in my career. What I’ve found is so much more than that. Seeking a new challenging career after almost 9 years working in Food and Hospitality Industry, the College played a big part on my career-transition. Thanks to the well-experienced Professors (Dr. Susana, Dr.Nabala, and Ms. Sukriti) for their support and guidance throughout the school year.

As I finished the Student Career and Development Course, our professor always reminded us to pass our resumes to the real job postings that we found during our class activities. Equipped with all the knowledge that was taught, from writing resumes and cover letters to answering mock interviews, I applied and was chosen for an interview at Brooks Medical Center as a Unit Clerk in the Emergency Department under Alberta Health Services. I landed my new job just before I finished my school days. The high standard of online education with great takeaways in every class and the supportive learning environment that Global College of Business and Technology provided to their students will always make me proud to be one of their alumni.”

Their stories reflect the high-quality education and career support Global College offers to all its students.
